Here are some of the better puds we have played and made:
Elise! - This one was written by Heike Kaltschmidt (heiska@aol.com). This is a very enjoyable pud. It is well designed and stocked with lots of goodies. As you can see by the map, it is really loaded! You will need some time to play this one, and a lot of patience! We beat it, but it took four hours and we had over 1500 kills between us!.From the Author: No story, just whack them! You both are humans attacked by six (!) Orcs. It is a lot harder than playing garden of war against six opponents, so you should be very experienced.

A Cold Day in Hell! -Jeff Nester wrote this one. The name is a clue, as in "it will be a cold day in hell before you beat this one!" This has been the toughest pud I have ever played (yet!). It took Jeff and I over six hours and 2500+ kills to beat it. Good luck - you'll need it!

Kevin's Map! - A guy by the name of Kevin Hacken wrote this one and sent it to me in August, 1997. This is a fun level where you need to move quickly at first, then be very patient, careful not to attack until you are ready. Jeff and I beat this one in about 1 hour with almost 500 kills. From the Author: I created a level that seems to be pretty fun. I combines air and land attack and has a ton of gold. It is a quick level. We've found that the outcome is really decided in the first five to ten minutes. A full victory takes about an hour. The main drawback to this level is that you rapidly get the "Can't create more units". You could try it with four enemies to see if that helps.

Azeroth's Fall -This pud was design Mike Conte and he sent it to me in November of 1997. It has four computer opponents vs. you and your partner, but you can rescue two more. As you can see, it has lots of trees with tight corridors to move your troops through. The bad guys have two "superheros" named Dentarg (who is with red) and Zulzin (who is with yellow). They are both beefed up from the normal superhero stat's. Also, the demons are very powerful, so be carefull! Jeff and I beat this one in about 2 hours with around 300 kills. Have fun! From the Author: It is a good idea to try and keep control over the open space in the middle.

Naval Coop -This very enjoyable pud is a rare water coop. Jeff and I beat it in about 2 hours with around 360 kills. Great balance between sea and air attack. From the Author: Naval is for up to seven players, also for deathmatch or teaming. It's also fun to play cooperatively with two against up to five computer opponents. You think you will need ships, and you're right. But it is nearly impossible to defend the harbor and only the best players will manage it. And if you manage it, you will also have to stand against a massive attack by gryphons and dragons, and finally you will run out of money ... and the new mine is on another island. Heavy stuff, really ... Attention: Don't forget to set ressources manually!

Siege! - Jeff wrote this one. Expect an attack quickly and often from both ground and air troops. Notice the big river protecting your only additional gold supply! If you can wall and tower in early, then you'll do alright.

The Alamo! - This one was designed by Robert Camp (themagi@best.com). This was the first coop pud that I ever played, and one of the most enjoyable. This pud is very thought out and designed intelligently! From the Author: Are you and your partner good enough to withstand an onslaught such as few have ever witnessed? Are you ready for the mass carnage and destruction that is faced by those who stand for a noble cause? That cause is life itself as you stand against one of the most formidable forces ever created. Fortunately you have trained the most elite of fighting forces. One of you has a force of 12 Uther LightBringers (SuperKnights) that are even more formidable than you know. They can prove to be a great help in your defense. Your partner has 12 Cho'galls (Super Bubbas), also more highly trained than any in the world. These heroes may be your saving grace if used effectively and sparingly. There are also a couple of Gryphon slayers at each of your disposals. Each of you has a Rescue fort within your compound. Ally first and then each of you get the rescue player closest to you. You then can each have Mages and Death Knights against the onslaught.
|
Rock Hard! - This is a water and land pud. If you can knock out a couple of the opponents early on, then this one is really easy! Jeff and I beat this within 1 hour and under 250 total kills by taking out two opponents within the first few minutes.

The Hunt! - I wrote this one.Story Line: The war between the Humans and Orcs rages on with no end in sight. The greatest of all Warlocks and Initiate of the Seventh Circle of the Shadow Council, the awesome Gul'Dan, has devised a plan to not only motivate the Horde and its leaders to greater levels of destruction, but also to demoralize the already weakened human alliance. Using his incredible magical powers, the warlock has created the ultimate challenge for the two greatest warriors in the Hoard: Zuljin the great Troll and Cho'gall the mighty Orge-Mage. Gul'Dan has magically teleported the two greatest Human heroes of the war, Sir Uther Lightbringer and Lord Anduin Lothar, to an arena specifically designed for their doom. Giving each of the Horde's warriors two apprentices, they have been ordered to faction their troops to destroy the trapped human heroes. The Horde warrior who can destroy the Human heroes first will be awarded the ultimate control of the Horde forces and will be allowed to spill more human blood. Gul'Dan, with his entourage, sits on his throne watching as the race to the ultimate human destruction begins. You are Sir Uther Lightbringer. Unbeknownst to the evil Warlock, your apprentice and that of your counterpart, Lord Lothar, were accidentally transported with you, giving you a tactical advantage. You and your trusted counterpart must build your forces from scratch to withstand the onslaught of the Horde attacks from Air, Sea and Landings. Your task is not easy, but if it can be done, the encouragement for the Human Alliance would be immeasurable, perhaps even turning the tide of the entire conflict. You may actually be able to destroy the evil warlock himself, turning his throne into his deathbed! This opportunity is too great to pass up. The fate of the entire Human Race rests on your capable shoulders. Good luck! |
